Singapore Savings Bonds (SBMAY20) Interest Rates Projection

The next SSB (SBMAY20) is projected to have a 10-year average return of 1.39% p.a. with interest rates from 0.96% (year 1) to 1.89% (year 10). If you invest $10,000 in this SSB, you are projected to earn a total interest of $1,390 over a period of 10 years.

We have reached the third (of three) projection milestone. At this stage, all business days in Mar 2020 have passed. The projected interest rates are final and will no longer be updated. The projected 10-year average return (1.39% p.a.) should be very close to the official one (differ by no more than 0.03%). SBMAY20's interest rates will be announced by MAS on 01 Apr 2020. Then, we will calculate the accuracy of our projection, move it to Past Projections, and begin projecting the following SSB.

Knowing the interest rate of the next SSB before it is announced allows you to plan ahead and get the best return for your SSB investment.

Conversely, if the next SSB will have a lower return, you can proceed to purchase the current SSB without hesitation.
